"Kansas is boring," Sammie murmurs to herself, sitting on a dock near a lake and kicking her feet to drag her toes in the water. Daddy's over in the farmhouse, getting new information, Momma and Mom are somewhere else. Sammie knows that when those looks pass between her mothers, she should probably go away real quick.

Daddy wanders back to sit beside her, big and broad-shouldered and smelling a little bit like dirty leather that makes a creaky noise when he sits in it, and he peels off his own shoes to put his feet in the water too.

"Hey, kiddo."

Sam looks up at him with a huge smile, leans right up against his shoulder and smells in the leather-scent that's always around Daddy.

"Hi."

Not that she's excited or anything.

Way too cool to be excited, that's his Smell. Dean ruffles her hair with a big hand and grins a little happy grin.

"Watchin' the fishes, huh."

"Most excitin' thing to do here," Sammie points out, wrinkling her nose at the lake and kicking her feet some more. "Did Oracle have anything interesting?"
