Give me a pairing and I'll tell you the following:

1. When or if I started shipping them:
2. What I think their challenge is:
3. What makes me happy about them:
4. What makes me sad about them:
5. What moment I wish had never happened:
6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
7. My happily ever after for them:

Ike/BK?!

Ike/Elincia

Because I'm obvious.

1. Chapter 14, prior to the base. Ike and Elincia had that little conversation after Ike flipped out at Sanaki and the Begnion Senate.
2. Ike's apathy toward romance notwithstanding, I'd say the differences in their lifestyles. Elincia is a queen, and thus has to deal with politics and appearances. Ike, however, dislikes court politics and just wants to be a mercenary.
3. Watching them grow closer over the course of Path of Radiance.
4. The dearth of interaction they have in Radiant Dawn.
5. Ike departing for foreign lands and never being seen again.
6. I honestly can't think of anyone for either without going into crossover territory. I don't like Ike with Mia, Lethe, Soren, or Ranulf, and I don't like Elincia with Geoffrey or Lucia.
7. Years and years after Radiant Dawn, Ike returns from his journey. He searches out Elincia, and lets her know that he has returned.

5. You and me both, dude.
6. I'm honestly surprised you don't like Elincia/Geoffrey. (Also, wtf Ike/Mia? That's a pretty left-field pairing.)
7. Okay, but the world wants to know, has she hit mid-life crisis yet?!

6. In general, I don't ship princess-and-her-knight pairings. I know, it seems odd given my personality. (Also, Ike/Mia is very popular on GameFAQs, for some reason.)
7. what is this i dont even

1. I'd say Chapter 20 of FE7, with the various conversations happening after Elbert's death.
2. Eliwood is a human. Ninian is half dragon and has a limited lifespan as long as she stays in Elibe.
3. Just...Eliwood being a gentleman to her, and how she receives it.
4. The fact that their life together lasts for only five to ten years.
5. Ninian's premature death.
6. Fiora for Eliwood. For Ninian...I can't really think of anyone else.
7. Reunion in the afterlife.

Alas. FE6's existence means anyone Eliwood marries is fated to die early, but I agree with you on everything you say. =D

Is this for canon pairings, or RP pairings?

I think I'll limit it to canon pairings for the time being.

Ky/BadGuy...?

1. I do not ship them. I like them as rivals and as friends, but not as lovers.
2. Being so drastically different in terms of personality. Sol is blunt, lazy, and unpredictable, whereas Ky is diligent, eloquent, and straightforward.
3. They make interesting rivals.
4. It takes Sol about ten years to actually show some respect for Ky.
5. I've got nothing.
6. Sol: I can't see him being in a romance after the whole mess with Justice. Ky: Dizzy.
7. A final battle where they team up to take on That Man and derail his schemes.

I guess I should of said something like Eliwood/Lyn. I only thought of the rivalry between Ky and Sol, and not like "lovers".

4. Why?

4. Sol sees Ky generally as too idealistic and too insistent that the world is black and white. By the time Overture happens, Ky is still idealistic, but he's less naive.

Aww, don't let that stop you! Just take a look at the thread up above -- I answered them for a pairing I dislike.

Hint: My favorite route is Unlimited Blade Works -- and not just for the awesome.

SaberxRin! =D

Maybe not what you were expecting >>;;??

Or RinxShirou...because, ya know, it's in that order.

*does Rin/Shirou*

1. I'm not entirely sure when I started shipping them. I think I just loved their interactions in Fate and that carried over into UBW, where they just had this great chemistry.
2. Living in England. Their biggest challenges have already happened.
3. It's always a fun time to watch them interact. Regardless if Rin is in tsuntsun mode while Shirou internally snarks, if she's in tease mode and flustering Shirou, or if they're sharing a tender scene together, I always love to see them interacting.
4. The only thing that makes me sad is that there's not MORE of them together. >_>
5. It has nothing to do with their relationship, but Ilya's death. For me, that's the saddest scene in the entire game, and made me want to actually yell at Gilgamesh.
6. Sakura for Shirou, uh...I have no idea for Rin.
7. Going through Clock Tower, returning to Fuyuki, getting married, and raising a family.
