:D the colours are jusr so clear and beautiful a type of wisteria? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wisteria possibly salvia, and snapdragon? your guess is as goos as mine. they're very pretty though
Wisteria is correct - had numerous comments all agreeing, but my friend told me they take seven years to flower so I guess I won't be planting any of that unless I can find one that is already mature. :-( It smelled so wonderful!
Purple hangy one is definitely a Wisteria. My mum has three in our yard and nearly died a few years back when they flowered for the first time (trivia: they take 7 years to mature to flower). I got into trouble for not photographing them :x
Honestly I'm not sure you could buy a mature one because of how they grow. A LOT of people plant them along their porch/fences because they're climbers like ivy, but over time (because they're a tree) they grow so thick that they actually pull the structure apart! It's happening to our fence, but now it's slowly growing UP another tree, so it'll swallow that whole at some point, lol.
Good idea! I can't wait to see your pics...now if you can just bottle up a bit of the scent and send it to me so I can open it while I am looking at them - lol!
