My Merlin Prompt Table Poke. Poke. Poke. Poke. Poke. Pok-
“BRADLEY, FUCK OFF!” Katie shouted from her middle seat in the people carrier they had acquired for their day out. Bradley snorted a laugh and sat back in his seat and looked out of the window and across the fields that lined the M4.
“How was it I ended up back here?” Angel complained from her seat in the boot of the car. Anthony laughed as he drove them with Richard in the passenger seat. Colin sat curled up in one of the middle seats with his feet tucked beside him, “Why couldn’t I sit there,” she leant forwards and indicated to the free seat in the middle.
Katie looked back over her shoulder and smiled, “Because Colin’s feet are sat there.”
In his boredom Bradley started poking the side of Angel’s knee. She batted him away. He carried on. She hit him again. He poked her back harder. She whacked his hand with a mighty slap. He laughed and started to poke his way up her arm. She moved out of his reach, leaning against the side of the car, her feet nearing him. He poked her in the stomach and she kicked out in reflex.
“Owh!” Bradley rubbed his shin, backing away from her.
“You deserved that,” Anthony said from the front of car as he indicated off the motorway and around the roundabout. Five minutes now and they’d be at the paint balling centre. This was their group bonding exercise. Not that they needed it. They’d worked together for two years in very close proximity, if they weren’t bonded by now there was something wrong.
“I’d say girls versus boys, but that’s not fair,” Katie said as they suited up in the backroom by the reception. They’d spent a while teasing Angel about the smallness of the suit she was having to wear, somewhere along the line someone had called it a ‘large child’ suit.
“You can have Colin,” Bradley offered, elbowing the younger male in the side, “He’s plenty feminine enough.”
“Thanks, mate.”
“How about Team Royal versus Team Staff?”
“We’d get Richard, secret ninja,” Colin held out his hand and Angel low-fived him, “I’m up for this plan.”
“I think we’re agreed?” Anthony said looking to his two on-screen children. They both nodded, grabbing empty guns. Bradley propped his on his shoulder.
“Prepare to go down, Morgan.”
“Bring it on, James.”

Streaking down the edge of the darkened room, Angel Coulby had the King of Camelot tearing after her, aiming at her back with the paintball gun he held in his hands. She reached the end wall, a dead end, and turned to face him, her back against the wall. She took aim at him and held on the trigger. One ball hit him square on the shoulder, another just lower than his heart.
“Move it or lose it,” Colin declared as he appeared behind him, shooting him from behind. Anthony started to giggle loudly as he ran down through the gap he had found and away from the pair of servants, “Alright, Angel?”
“Yes, thanks.”
“Bradley’s hiding behind the centre partition. Thinks I didn’t notice,” Colin said with a hushed tone. A grin cracked across Angel’s face, “You go left.”
“You go right,” they quickly shook on it before moving silently towards Bradley’s chosen hiding place. They crept down the wall in their designated directions, slowly turning the end. Angel was a fraction ahead of Colin as she pulled on the trigger. Bradley aimed toward her with a shocked shout, but missed her as she ducked behind the wall with her gun still pointed around at him, her finger constantly pulling on the trigger.
Every third shot hit him. His attention on Angel, Bradley didn’t notice his other co-star sneaking an attack from behind. It wasn’t until Katie came charging around the corner, gun blazing, aiming at Colin that he saw him. Bradley took off to his left towards Angel. She was still hidden from view so didn’t see him coming as he grabbed the end of her gun and pointed it towards the ceiling. He hadn’t been banking on her finger slipping against the trigger and pulling it sending a paintball into his face, catching the corner of his eye, “Fuck!”
Angel let go, dropping the gun around her neck and looking sheepishly at him. He had the heel of his hand to his eye rubbing furiously at it, “I’m so sorry.”
“I should get a free shot for that.”
“How about an olive branch?” she suggested pulling him around the corner and out of Colin’s line of fire should he turn his attention back from Katie, “Let me see,” Bradley took his hand away from his eye to show her. Luckily the shot had missed going into his eye and he was only making it worse by rubbing it which she didn’t hesitate to tell him.
“Well if you will shoot me in the face.”
“And whose fault was that?”
“Yours, obviously,” she elbowed him in the side, “What was this olive branch you were offering?”
“Forget it. Time passed.”
“Aiingel!”
“Change of allies. Team Magic versus Team-“
“Awesome.”
“I can deal with that,” she agreed, holding out her hand for him to shake.
“How can I trust you won’t go making a deal with Katie?”
“Blind faith.”
“I wouldn’t trust you further than I could throw you.”
“Good job you can throw me further than the others then, isn’t it?” she still had her hand offered to him. He eyed it suspiciously before taking it.
“You’re on,” Bradley looked around, unable to see any of the others, he could hear Katie squeal as Colin no doubt got the advantage on her, but Anthony and Richard were particularly quiet, “Where are they?”
Suddenly a shot hit him square in the chest, followed by another hitting Angel in the shoulder. They both looked up to see the two older cast members at the top of the base camp, lying on their stomachs like cadets taking aim at the both of them, “Oh, this is war!”
“Looks like a three way fight,” Angel concluded, “Team Magic versus Team Awesome versus Team OLD!”
Another shot hit her, this time in the dead centre of her chest. If she hadn’t been wearing the protective armour it would have hurt, “Less of the Old, servant!” Anthony shouted down at her followed by a fit of giggles.
“That’s the Future Queen of Camelot, to you!” she said, aiming back up at him and missing by a mile.
“Not whilst I’m still around, missy!” he got her again, this time in the knee. Bradley took aim and managed to get him in the shoulder. Richard had taken to hiding behind him. If anybody was going to win this war it was going to be him, “How chivalrous! You’re not old enough for me not to put across my knee, sonny!”
“At least you didn’t call me Randy!” Bradley took off down the small corridor, under better shelter. Angel dived behind the wall where Bradley had originally been hiding. Nobody was behind it. She had expected Katie or Colin to be there but they weren’t.
“Ah, you bitch!” she heard her partner in crime shout from the other end of the room.
“You’re the one who teamed up with the opposition, brother.”
“She’s my future wife,” he defended, “She made me.”
“Hardly the making of a King, ‘She made me do it.’”
Angel felt a shot to the back of her arm. She whirled around to see Colin looming over her, “And to think, I trusted you. What say you in your defence?”
“He’s was gunna shoot me?”
“Pathetic excuse,” Angel acted quickly, shooting him in the shin and running. She hadn’t banked on coming across Katie, who didn’t hesitate to opening fire on her. Angel held her hands up in surrender.
“I give up! You’re too good for me.”
“I’m not making an alliance with you,” Katie said simply, “You’re a cheater,” she said with a smile on her face, “I will however, cut you a deal. I won’t shoot you, if you don’t shoot me. Don’t protect Bradley and I won’t protect Colin.”
“Deal.”
“Great. See you later,” she took off past Angel and towards where she could have sworn she’d seen Bradley go. A second later Angel heard her yelp as a rain of paintballs fired at her from above. She hadn’t banked on Team Old attacking her.
Colin ran down the edge of the darkened room towards her squeals. From his position in the dark he got a clear shot of both Richard and Anthony. It was too good an opportunity to miss. He took aim and fired. They were too busy raining bullets on Katie to notice him to begin with, “Hey, Morgan,” he quickly turned his aim on Bradley and fired, “Oi, stop it!”
“Other team. Both times!”
“How about a bit of Boys versus Girls?”
“Like hell am I going on your team. You’ll turn on me the second Angel pulls her pout on you.”
“Will not.”
“Will so. You did earlier!” Bradley shrugged him off, “I’m not teaming up with you.”
“If I shoot Angel, will you reconsider?”
“No. Now sod off, I’m protecting my team mate,” he took aim at Richard and fired, getting him on the arm. Colin dropped his gun shortly after, his hand going to the back of his neck as it throbbed in pain, “That was uncalled for!”
“Well, if you won’t accept my offer, who am I to not take advantage of your back being turned.”
“You’re a complete arse!” there was a split second as they considered each other before Bradley took of at a sprint up the centre of the room and Colin ran up after him, “That hurt, you faggot!”

Battered, bruised and covered in paint, the four co-stars hobbled back to the car. Behind them walked both Anthony and Richard with a piece of A4 each, brandishing them proudly before them; “It reads; ‘This is to Certify that Richard Wilson had the best aim and least wasted paintballs.’” He said proudly.
Anthony waved his around, “Mine basically states that I’m amazing. And here, in the fine print, ‘Better than Bradley’.”
“It does not,” the blonde complained.
“I think you’ll find it does,” his on-screen father said showing him the piece of paper, “I had them edit it in.”
“That’s just low.”
“But also, incredibly funny,” Angel stated high-fiving Anthony with a smile on her face.
“That is the last time I team up with you, Small Fry.”
“What’s that I see printed on my script? ‘Guinevere, Queen of Camelot’?” she joked climbing into the back of the people carrier without fuss. Bradley hopped in behind her and pulled the seat back so Katie could get in, “Looks like you’re stuck with me.”
“Only for another two or so years.”
“Until then, Future Husband, you’re stuck with me.”
“Isn’t it adorable,” Katie said at no more than a whisper into Colin’s ear, “One would think they didn’t need to act.”
“Oh, they don’t. Besides, it’s not like they ever did.”
