we came to USA last year in november. And we have been already in 45 states.National parks, beaches, everywhere.I was wondering why people here dont know where my country is.Once in CA one american woman asked me where TN is.Shame of her. :) Another day here in Ford dealership some guy who works there asked us where London is,coz we were talking about it.We said him-in UK,he asked where UK is.Then he couldnt answer my question what is capital citu of France. :)))

Well, sorry you had to run into some of the ignorant ones. People here know where your country is, but, as with all countries, there are some pretty ignorant people. Please have faith that there are actually some intelligent and worldly people in America, even if you didn't meet them.

I guess some people are just confused by the fact that the UK consists of several place: Great Britain, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. I'm sure if you would have said England or something of the sort, the man would have recognized it.

Wherever in America you went, you sure weren't lucky with the quality of person you met.

Maybe then only in TN,GA and FL people r like that.I am from Russia, and they always think for a while before they say where on the map Russia is and where UK is.So this girl said me-France in Asia,so did her mom. :)
