Does sound very death!ficcish, but as you point out there are 'outs'.

Vampire!Don is a very cool idea. I hope someone takes that one up!

No desire to do so yourself? Don could catch a case and with everything that happened to him in the SPN crossovers you did, he can think of vampires while everyone else thinks serial and it could allow him to save himself when attacked!
