AHAHAHA I spent two hours updating this and then it erased itself. S-so under construction while I rebuild. Again.

Meriken:

Infodump on Jane and her Issues with People.

This is more for my reference than anything, ehehe.

Jane makes excuses for growing attached to non-vampires. She still thinks of humans as little more than livestock, so when she grows attached to them she will try and justify it by claiming that they are more than human. (England and Meriken are countries, Allan was a zombie, Ai is the Hell Girl, Saki has those awesome wave things ect.) Otherwise, she would be little better than the detestable vegetarians.

Nevertheless, the fact that they are still not vampires and in most cases not even immortal irks her a lot. Compared to her, humans are made of glass, and can be broken so easily. The recent Monsters event made this all the more clear to her- cue intense feelings of paranoia. And guilt. Jane is a guard, and a guard should be able to protect a handful of countries, humans future vampires and hell girls. Her failure to do so pretty much shattered her self-image. Luckily, the return of her burning gift should fix things up a bit.

She actually has plans to turn everyone important to her into vampires if she can prove to herself that her venom works in Mayfield (it doesn’t, for the record, and would only ensure a slow, painful death). In her mind they will eventually thank her for this and then they can all go back to her world and join the Volturi and eat humans and punish criminals and it will be awesome. She does not comprehend that anyone would not want the gift of immortality.

Jane is a very physical person with the people she likes. (In New Moon, she platonically kisses Aro and embraces her brother.) She may be slow to admit it at first, once she starts to genuinely care about someone she can be one affectionate sparklepire.

Aaaand now for the darker side. Jane is incredibly possessive of her important people. (Thus her dislike for America- she doesn’t like to share England with him, and therefore she sees him as a hugely annoying jerk. She refuses to believe that he’s generally a good guy). No one is allowed to so much as breathe on them without her getting upset. And if they leave her, especially of their own accord… woah boy, it wouldn’t be pretty. Jane would get angry, and when Jane gets angry people die. She would probably attack and kill them in the most painful manner she can think of. Once you get into Jane’s heart, there’s no getting out with all your limbs intact.

Jane has huge trust issues. There’s not a single person she trusts wholly and completely, besides Alec. Not Aro, not her fellow Volturi guards and not even England. Oh, yes, she’s learnt to let people in since arriving in Mayfield, but she fully expects for them to betray her in the end. They’ll realise she’s evil, they’ll try and burn her, and she’ll kill them for it. But she won't be the one to go first- Jane is loyal and proud, and will resent any accusation that she's going anywhere, thank you England.
