Orange skies, dirty air.

Inland San Diego is on fire.  We're alright because we're coastal.  The air is filthy because the winds are heading our way.  I'm going to set up the vaporizer and humidifier to keep the air moist in here and help to dampen the smoke.

Please, pray for our families and friends and all of the rescue crews.

:\

The fires are crazy.

The Orange/Irvine fire is a problem for my husband. He said that the smoke was so thick on his drive into Orange County this morning that he could barely see. My sister left city of Orange 15 minutes after the fire broke out and said there was a ton of smoke (it wasn't even reported on the news yet!).

I hope everyone you love is okay.

i'm pretty sure jillene is out of harm's way, at least for now. she's not that close to palomar, she's by 5 and 76 near pendelton. i am really worried about her though, and hoping and praying everything is ok and labor is going well, and maybe she's already had her baby. scary stuff. what is it looking like in encinitas? we are about 4 miles east of qualcomm, so all if fine here for now (knock on wood), my parents' area has been evacuated and they are with us.

Seconding that Jillene is not in too much danger wrt to fire -- Palomar is way east of her, and the evac zone is well south. Also, she's in a low, flat valley, which is less of a hazard than the canyons and hills.

Labor is another matter altogether.

I'll be praying as well, seems strange as we were just there and everything was fine. I'll be watching your updates, take care!
