Cosy Christmas

I wanted a relaxed, stress-free Christmas Day, which got off to a terrific start when I accidentally upended two glasses of Buck's Fizz into my bed.

Howard and I were forced to get up by this incident, but otherwise we did things very much as and when we wished. We opened presents and had a Christmas meal of clementine & vodka-baked salmon with

I'm happy to hear you had a good, relaxed, stress-free christmas, nevermind the spilled drinks. In situations like that, I tend to calm myself saying if that's the worst that'll happen to me today, it's a good day. So since that was the worst thing that happened to you over christmas, it logically follows that it was indeed a good christmas, as you rightly observe! :)

Hah, that photo is indeed so 1970s cookbook.

I'm amazed Polaroid cameras are making such a comeback, but they sure are. An electronics superstore in Reykjavík I went to recently (ELKO) had an entire shelf dedicated to them.

I was tempted by one of the new Polaroid or Instax cameras, then I remembered that I had one from the 90s knocking around (a 21st birthday present!) and to my delight it still worked and you can buy the film again.
