That was one of my favorite episodes, even though the ending is sad. And no, when I was watching the show as a teenager, I didn't get the "kink" either!

It is one of my favorites now, too, even though parts of it were hard to watch.

I don't think the writers meant it to be kinky, but man, that was a lot of people being ordered to hug and tie each other up for a family show!!
