I most certainly did. Didn't feel so hot at the time, but it did help me to express who I was, and namely, what my first real love was.

Hey, if it's you, go for it. However-- if you don't like pain, I wouldn't suggest it. The back is one of the most painful areas to get a tattoo, because that's where just about every single nerve in the human body can be found.

The only other pointer I can give aside from being sure of what you want and where you want it-- make sure you have an artist that knows what your desired tattoo looks like. *sigh* I'm looking at getting mine redone, and it really would have been easier just to have all that pain amount to something that looked exactly what I wanted it to look like.
