So the good news is that there will be a new uncensored DVD release this June!

The bad news is that the episodes were selected based on gay jokes, celebrity appearances, and kissing moments!

Well it's better than no release for this year at all. It's just a shame that the show is to represented this way.

The worst part is that long before this, people honestly believe that it's shit like this that makes it easy to do improv.

Admittedly it's phrased somewhat oddly, but the Wyatt speaks the truth. People watch this generic, uninspired, tiresome (excrement synonym of your choice) and think, "This is improv? Repeating the same joke eleventy thousand times and generally feigning homosexuality? HELL, I CAN DO THAT!!!"

Those are the episodes that pretty much cemented the show's cancellation, as well. A pity. I would've preferred the first ten episodes from season two. I just can't justify purchasing this.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say those episodes cemented the show's cancellation. Do you mean that's when you think it jumped the shark? If that's the case, it might help to be more specific, since this release covers three years of the show's run (out of the six before it was canceled)!

Belatedly, I meant that these episodes put the show on auto-pilot. Put a celebrity in, and all the gags are pretty much pre-written. And add the other running gags, and those should count too. There was no longer a risk involved in the improv. There was no chance of a scene failing when an overhyped celebrity, or a guest with an unusual talent is brought in as a prop.

To this day, I cannot watch the Richard Simmons episode.

Normally the celeb guest episodes make me flinch (except for guests with comedy/improv backgrounds, like Robin Williams), although I did not wince as much as I thought I would when Florence Henderson and David Hasselhoff were on.

'Course, I'm still holding out for the rest of the British episodes.
