ahh! love it! oh hey, as a maker of icons, can you tell me how to properly "credit" someone if you use one of their icons? i'm still learning the ropes around here...

Indeed and of course! Usually what people do (including me) will give credit in a icon's comment. (When you go to edit your icons you see you can write keywords or comments? There.) And then type in something like made by: or credit: with this <*lj user=blah blah*> just remove the * and place the user name of who ever made the icon where it says blah blah. I hope this works/helps.
