36 days until The Hobbit opens.

Man. I cannot WAIT. The character I'm most looking forward to is Thranduil, but I had to make his kid into an icon because his new French single-character poster is just so. damn. pretty.

I got this recipe from Greg Patent's excellent cookbook, Baking in America.

Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature

The Today Show will have both Gandalf and Legolas on the show tomorrow morning to unveil the new trailer for The Desolation of Smaug.

So it has begun. The marketing push for the second great installment, etc., etc...
