I had an interesting conversation with Neal today. It all started with a question. At first I thought it was just a simple question of asking the definition of some highly educated & convoluted vocabulary word. Neal refused to aid me in this quest to learn more English vocabulary. (By the way, the word happened to be "funky.") That was quite a

Speaking of word definitions, I had a similar experience today! It was during seventh period. Paul and I had a short discussion over the word "kinky." I told him I wasn't really sure what the word meant; "something strange or weird," I thought. Apparently not so, though, judging by Paul's laughter. It's probably something dirty, knowing Paul.

What does kinky mean any way? There are so many words I don't know of... I guess I should buy a slang dictionary.

kinky = not Edward
funky = Edward's hair when he used gel all the time

social skills or is boringly

never asked a girl to dance.

strong dance rhythm, in
particular that of funk: some
excellent funky beats.

greens make the kitchen smell

and lastly,
kinky: involving or given to

Online I think I am also a "different" person...really I am just like more like the real me... Without the awkwardness of actual face-to-face contact I can spill...a lot...(maybe too much) about myself. It is kind of overwhelming, even for me sometimes. But I don't think it's a bad thing to have a forum where we can release all our bottled-up thoughts and emotions, you know?
Sometimes I think it is best to know a person online and off to get an impression of their whole self...if you know what I mean?

Figuring out who we are is what we are all doing this time of our lives, I think.

I guess it is kinda hard to figure out the meaning of the words "funky" and "nerd" without context. You just have to hear it being used a lot and you'll gradually understand.
I think people are less inhibited online and can express their emotions more, especially on livejournal 'cause it's like a journal. I used to keep a journal to write in when I was sad or angry... but now I just do it online!
