Sing Me A Song (a.k.a. Bake Me Some Cookies, Stranger)
Jaejoong/Changmin; 1369 words; Their friendship is founded on cookies and an accidental kiss.; iTunes drabble meme. Crack, lots of it, because the world is a crazy place.

24/7 ► Danny Noriega

It's three in the morning when Changmin gets his first kiss, and at age nineteen. He swears it's not his fault - there he is, innocently making his way through the crowd, looking for any sign of Junsu (who he flatly ignores despite Junsu gyrating his hips in the middle of crowd, dancing with some girl), when someone trips on his foot and his first instinct is to help the guy up, and he wonders for a moment if he should have done that because, the next he knows, he and the guy are on the floor, the guy's lips on his.

Shit.

"Oh shit!" the guy says, helping himself up and helping Changmin, too. "I swear I didn't mean it! I'm a bit tipsy and uh, you know, moshpits." Changmin laughs to himself.

Guys with puny bodies should never go to bars.

The Search Is Over ► Scott McIntyre

"Can I buy you a drink, though?" the guy asks Changmin and Changmin just shakes his head. "If you could help me drag my friend away from those girls and all the vodka, though, that'd be great." Something tells him he's smiling way to sheepishly for his own good, because there's that impossible look on the guy's face.

"I'm Jaejoong Kim," says the guy, extending his hand. He takes it and shakes it briefly and before he knows it, Jaejoong's dragging him to the bar, buying him a bottle of vodka that he's sure as hell he won't be able to finish. "Er, I'm Changmin Shim," he replies (for whatever it's worth; it's not as if they'll meet again). Jaejoong beams.

When the clock strikes five, all that's left is a drunk Jaejoong throwing up in the bathroom and him waiting just beside Jaejoong.

Inside Out ► Vonray

"You should've at least had the decency to look after me, you know," Junsu complains from behind Changmin. Changmin shrugs. "You should've at least had the decency to look after me since I'm younger," Changmin says flatly, voice dripping with sarcasm, "And oh, you should've had the decency to not grind your hips against all those girls while holding a bottle of vodka." Junsu's eyes are wide open when Changmin turns around to stick out his tongue.

"Pssh. Whatever. You look older than me, anyway," Junsu calls out to him. Changmin just laughs.

I'll Be Okay ► Amanda Marshall

When Changmin puts Jaejoong down on his couch, Jaejoong bolts up and asks a classic question. "Where am I?"

Changmin comes from the kitchen with a cup of tea in hand. "You're in heaven. You just died. Tea?"

Jaejoong blinks for a while until everything hits him. "What, I'm dead?"

So it takes even longer to pacify Jaejoong and it takes too fast for the tea to get cold. Changmin brings out a third round of chocolate chip cookies when Jaejoong's finally calmed down. "So wait, I'm not dead. Really. Why am I here? Who am I? Who are you?" Jaejoong asks one after the other, and Changmin just gulps down hard, trying to figure which one he'll answer first.

"You're not dead, you got ass drunk that's why you're here and you're the guy who kissed Changmin," Junsu quips from behind Changmin, dressed in only a big white shirt. Junsu takes a cookie from the plate. "And yeah, he's Changmin."

It'll take a while for things to get cleared.

You Found Me ► The Fray

But not really, since Jaejoong eventually remembers why he was in the bar in the first place. "Friends suck most of the time, I'm telling you," Changmin says, nodding sympathetically while Jaejoong sighs from beside him. Junsu hits him lightly on the arm and he shoots Junsu a look. "And quite hard, too." Now it's Jaejoong's turn to nod. "Bottomline is, I'm a freak and I don't have friends just because I decided to be a good student and not skip classes. Just great!" Jaejoong exclaims, voice drifting off soon after as he buries his face in his hands.

"Your friends are losers. Losers, I tell you!" Junsu says, patting Jaejoong on the shoulder in the process. "Not as much of a loser as Changmin is, but they're bad. I tell Changmin to cut classes sometimes and he just brushes me off and we're still fine! After he gives me cookies, at least." Junsu falls silent, contemplating on that last bit of his sentence. Jaejoong looks up at him and just stares.

"I'm getting more cookies." Junsu excuses himself. Changmin moves closer to Jaejoong and gives him a good pat on the back. "Well, I guess you can call us friends from now on? We'll have a friendship founded on being model students," Changmin ends, flashing his brightest smile. Jaejoong laughs. Junsu brings in more cookies just in time for a good laugh.

Tainted Love ► Danny Noriega

It disturbs Changmin, though, the thought of readily deeming someone as a friend, that someone being a person who he's met at a bar and has accidentally kissed him. It's as cliche as it gets, his life.

Dammit.

If You're Not the One ► Daniel Bedingfield

After a while, he grows accustomed to Jaejoong's presence and his constant bantering with Junsu. Jaejoong's a pretty good cook, he soon discovers, and he makes better cookies that Changmin ever could. On one too many sleepless (more like restless) nights due to too much paperwork, Jaejoong comes up from behind Changmin with a bowl of noodles and some cookies.

"Figured you'd need something to keep you up," Jaejoong says faintly as he puts the tray down on Changmin's desk. "Are you even planning to get some rest at all?" Changmin just shakes his head, grabs one of the cookies and gives Jaejoong a thumbs up. Jaejoong chuckles.

Some five minutes after, Jaejoong leaves, and Changmin puts the books and papers aside, makes space for the tray at the corner of his desk and eats what Jaejoong has prepared for him.

(Staying up so late has never been this good.)

The Truth ► David Cook

The truth is, with growing accustomed to having Jaejoong around comes thoughts of having Jaejoong come closer, much closer than he's ever imagined. He's envisioned things to be like this: Jaejoong would come up to him at two in the morning, just like any other day, and offer him a midnight-to-morning-or-whatever-it's-called snack, then he'd tell Jaejoong to stay and tell stories to keep him awake. Then he'll fall asleep to the sound of Jaejoong's voice and wake up just when Jaejoong's fallen asleep beside him.

What the hell.

It's weird, sometimes even disturbing, that those thoughts even occur to him. Seeking Junsu for advice won't help in any way, so he keeps everything to himself. One part of him tells him that maybe the accidental kiss is getting to him, or that he might just be hungry or be needing sleep, to which thoughts of Jaejoong occur to him again and again and he's back to staring blankly at his book at 1:59 a.m., waiting for 2:00 a.m. to come.

I Just Love You ► Adam Lambert

He can't believe he's saying this, but he thinks he likes Jaejoong. Likes, not loves, because love is too strong a word and what- this is just premature infatuation that he might just well have aborted or something. He tries sleeping it off, sleeps too early but then he fears Jaejoong won't find someone awake at two so he gets up just before Jaejoong even gets to his room, pretends he's been at his paper on agriculture for the past two hours.

"No food for you because you just got up, Shim." Jaejoong says, a smile on his lips. "Did you get up just to eat?" Changmin frowns and mumbles, "I was hungry, okay." Jaejoong shakes his head.

They stay up until five, eating cookies and talking about nothing at all.

The Book of Love ► UCLA Awaken

Maybe Jaejoong already knows it - about this "premature infatuation that should have just been aborted" - because Jaejoong makes it a point to stay and watch Changmin eat. To a certain extent, he feels as if he's being looked after and much as he's more inclined to being independent, he enjoys it (especially the cookies. The cookies are awesome.).

The next day, Changmin beats Jaejoong to bringing food and makes cookies for the two of them (enough to satisfy the hunger of the whole world, he assumes) and they stay up until Junsu wakes up (and they fall asleep).
