Well hello, children. I was just enjoying the comfortable shade to be found under this bridge. No, that's not my abandoned fishing pole next to the stream, and of course I'm not hiding under here. Thanks! I like all the names I made up for this, but I'm particularly happy with Municipal Project 51C. A lot of the time I can point to a particular point in working on a story where things finally click and I really start to make progress, and this time it was when I realized that I needed to name the bridge, and came up with Municipal Project 51C.

The last line is so perfect! I can imagine running into such a storyteller as a persistent child. I love the detail of the abandoned fishing pole too. Nothing like a working vacay storytelling under a bridge. This is great!

Wonderful tale! You had me at “I think it's safe to say that two of them were envious of the third one's name, but alas, not everyone can have parents who are civil engineers.” I giggled all the way through.
