Mr. Qaddafi thinks the UN security council is unfair. Personally, I don't think it's fair for a totalitarian state to have an equal vote in the UN, which is nominally dedicated to human rights

So a pacifist state that is dedicated to scientific research should have no say in geopolitics.

should they? yes. Will they? no. Not when it comes to international security concerns.

The entire security council is a catch 22 is it not... We all know that projection of power means a nuclear arsenal. Trying to get a nuclear arsenal without the approval of the UN security council is not viable without war. As such an emerging nation state will in all probability never join the security council. Furthermore the prerequisite of a military strength for real geopolitcal power is counterproductive to the species yes?
