No warning, no explanation. Nothing at all for any of those who sat and worried, and waited, and cried, while they thought that maybe, maybe Jack was wrong and he could die, and stay that way.
He is furious, because at the very least... the VERY least he had hoped that he was important enough to the captain to get some form of 'goodbye'. But no, just as he had already begun to assume, Ianto Jones is a sucker, duped by a conman and he should have known better ( ... )

"I don't know it either." Which is an admission that disturbs him quite a bit, while he didn't expect to if Jack doesn't. It unnerves him deeply that he hasn't come across it at some point or another. There is a pause. "They likely don't know you here either, which should be.. fun."

Medical schools obviously were meant to be fairly robust when it came to up to date technology, but there was just something about this place which didn't seem right. It was too new for the twenty-first century. Too beyond the timeline he knew of how Earth was suppose to progress.
They passed through the lobby and into the main throughfaire. Doctors. Nurses. People of all sorts were running around...but in an orderly fashion.
"Hm. I think this isn't the first time this has happened. Let's see what we can find out."

"At the very least it appears they have some sort of plan." Even if it's not entirely organized, it is better than the near chaos outside the building.
"After you. If you fail to charm the answers out of them, I've got you."

And this Jack could not think about it right now.
Eventually, Jack did manage to charm the pants off of a pretty redhead with large breasts who smiled up at him shyly. She did not have many answers in the end, but could tell them that they'd been under attack periodically for months...
Pretty much everything that the recording mentioned.
"And those things--"
"More of them then we've seen in a long time...but not the worst...not the worst."

He stands slightly behind, Jack and to his right listening, silent. And definitely not comforted by the fact that this isn't the 'worst'.

Jack let Ianto back outside. The attack seemed over. The alarm was off. "We should stick together. Come back to the room I woke up in. We can... Talk."
And tomorrow they'd get some real answers, hopefully.
