let's see... woke up like crazy early this morning but at least I've been fairly productive. I've realized though that perhaps I purchased too many medium boxes and not enough small ones. I also need some stuff to wrap my dishware in. I'm finally feeling like I'm making progress though... but I'm kinda running out of space to put the boxes

Who cares how you did it last time? Your stuff is different this time around and you're taking your sweet time this time around. Just go for it and it will work out. You'll probably be infinitely more organized this time around as well.
Yes, small boxes are a goodness. I tend to pack in almost exclusively small boxes (otherwise they just get too DANG heavy). And finding space for packed boxes is an exersize in creativity...
