It's what I have and it's never done me wrong. They run hot with relatively high gain, so you'll really need a noise reduction pedal to manage/harness the sound without feedback...but you can get sickeningly good tone out of them. If you're only ever gonna play hardcore, like me, I'd just go ahead and get a 5150 rather than a 5150II. Supposedly, the only big advantage of the latter is that you can equalize the clean channel...but I never touch the clean channel.

Anyway...highly recomended.
