I, along with most of the planet, have been enjoying books in an electronic form these days. They are cheaper and easier to buy etc. Today, however, I was going through my actual book collection and delighting in the very booky feel and connections with the past they engendered ( Read more... )

There's an amusing chapter on medicine. I think he's trying to describe the treatment for someone having a stroke. He says, "First make sure the subject is not dead-drunk..."

You know, that is good advice. It would come in handy every single weekend where I live. Of course, "don't drink yourself into a stupor" would be even better, at least fo those doing the drinking...:P

I recently moved, and yesterday I finally unpacked and sorted through all the books. It felt great, like I've finally settled and made a home out of this place:)
