I think it's fine if not every name is immediately recognizable, because the purpose of a poster like that is often to spark curiosity. Here's a list of people I thought of, starting with authors who wrote books that are or will be made into films or TV and then moving to the books that were ubitquious in my elementary school. (We had these cardboard shelves from Scholastic and they were full of books that we could borrow.)

Lauren Oliver wrote a series beginning with Delirium that has been made into a television show ( ... )
