Yeah, Jesse has been playing the new version for the last two months or more... after he killed off his first two or three fortresses, he found the zen combination and after several boring days of his dwarves surviving easily, doing their jobs like they're supposed to, not being sieged, everyone happy, no elephants or warring factions.... decided that his society reached its zenith and it would only go downhill from there and therefore quit.

You'd be surprised about what "old" games/programs are still being updated... Inform, for example.
