Mother FUCKING Macs! We have a computer lab or 20 entirely of Macs... G4s... they crash more than anything. If you put a CD in it crashes... which really pisses you off when you finally finish your final project (free falling flying flocks finally flush fluently) which has taken you 4 hours just to edit and you can't save it because the computer ( Read more... )

in high school i had that problem, then i got suppended and had to pay for a computer when i pushed the monitor off the table cause of that bull shit....hmmm, so much fora short temper=-)

Wow. You suck.

1. Save your work AS YOU GO. how many times did i get burnt not doing that at uni?
2. I'm not sure you can do this, but try and allocate more memory to the program you're using. We had to do that all the time with MAX/MSP when the damn video students were around.
3. When all else fails THREATEN the computer. Tell it if it doesn't work, you're going to open it up and fill the damn box with honey and ants. Ask it if it knows what burning, scalding oil feels like. And so on. Who knows why, but that will ALWAYS work.

HEHEHE, well, the work is saved every 5 minutes using Adobe Premeir (if you set it up right... and.. I do) but its saved over the network, so it doesn't really matter, because the second you log off, your data is gone. And the threatening didn't work... neither did beatings (soft ones.. so that no but the computer would notice)

Yeah, you could have called, my computer overheated, which is does often, so I decided I would jsut work on my art final... I just finished it, I was kinda taking my time since I'm not going to bed anytime soon and I wanted to watch a movie I had rented. Anyhow.. yeah, I'm back now.
