Note to self: Next time you're invited to an event downtown, and the event planner's directions tell you to park in a certain lot, don't panic when you get there and park somewhere else because that lot says "Closed for event." That was your event, ding dong.

Three years ago my alarm clock woke me up an hour early on April Fools Day. Today our computer system crashed for an hour and 45 minutes.

Today our news reporter had the police scanner on, when I heard something you never want to hear from a 9-1-1 dispatcher: "Engine 4 to Gila Springs Apartment complex in Chandler."

Happy to oblige
Last night I went shopping at the Dollar Tree and wound up closing for them.
In all fairness, the girl who was supposed to close that night didn't show up, and the girl who was supposed to be off at 6 p.m. already had tickets to see Avatar at IMAX. So I didn't blame her for not wanting to stay.
