So tonight I played my first live show with my band. It was an audition to see if we'd be able to play that same place on New Year's. Since the singer is proving unreliable when it comes to lyrics, the main three members of the band have decided to take it upon themselves to start writing lyrics to our music. Things with the band are still going pretty well. We actually found a singer yesterday and he's a lot better than the two that the band had previously. The music is coming along pretty well and we've got at least 6 songs started and two pretty well perfected. Tonight will be a night to remember because it marked a few big landmark events. Firstly, I traded in my Ibanez 7 string towards an Ibanez 6 string thinking that I would need a decent backup guitar that I could change tunings on quickly. I just finished writing my first full metal song. Well, it's actually more melodic metal than just plain metal but I'm pretty happy with what I have written right now and will probably only make small changes here and there.
