The only thing that will fix this oil spill is a nuclear weapon detonated in a 100 meter deep undersea borehole. the russians are quite experienced in solving exactly this type of eco-crisis, and that's exactly how they do it.

Call me a hippy if you want, but 'That's how Russia does it!' sounds like a good argument *against* a particular course of action.

Nuking it would make the whole region toxic. There are reasons that whole expanses of Russia are places that no one goes, you know.

If they drilled a 100 metre deep undersea borehole, that would be more than sufficient for the relief well they plan to drill eventually anyway. No bombs needed.
