In the essay "Why We Crave Horror Movies", by Stephen King, he claims that people see horror movies because they are partly insane, however, in Chuck Palahnuik's essay, "Till Death Do Us Part", he says that people watch "cycle" horror movies because it gives us pleasure to see the characters not catch on to the cycle before we do.

You're almost there, but not quite. What you've got is FACT; HOWEVER, FACT.
Where what you need is either of these two recipes:
FACT; HOWEVER, CLAIM.
CLAIM; HOWEVER, CLAIM.

You haven't moved beyond fact here. You want to say which of the two arguments you find most convincing. Take a stand that can be contested, rather than just stating fact.
