This evening I missed my train to come home and ended up on a different one.  And there I saw someone I knew from high school.  She was my best friend's cousin.  I even remember him wanting to set the two of us up because he wanted to have me in the family ( Read more... )

Asking for a number is not shallow. Asking for a number and then using it exclusively for booty calls is shallow. ;)

I think that's an excellent summary =D

On an up note, she did give enough of a job description that I found her. Universities are great for having web accessible and search engine indexed faculty and staff listings.

So I think I'm going to send her a flower with a note asking her what I didn't ask her last night.

The cost will be a reminder that the bravest ways are also the least financially draining.

Ummm... don't do that. I would take that as creepy.

Instead, write her an email requesting the phone number.

And an email from someone you didn't give your email address out to wouldn't be just as creepy?

=p

The train was there the whole time, but with a big "Not in Service" sign plastered all over it.

Then the doors closed the sign stopped on "Airport" the place I wanted to go toward. And took off.

Eight of us got left there because the idiot didn't have his sign telling us where he was going. I had a complaint recorded on Trimet's answering machine before the train made it to the next stop 200 yards away. That kind of behavior deserved the complaint.
