The Packing Chronicles
Tonight my friend came over and helped me pack up about half my kitchen.
I've had four other people over to help me out for an hour or two here and there. I think I'm about 75% done.
1. I still have the second half of the kitchen: pots, pans, dishes, and utensils.
2. My bedroom: a box or two of toiletries and a computer.

noun, rhymes with Moron and is spoken with the same inflection.

Mind Numbing Boredom
It's a week when most people are gone--in other words short staffed. It means I get to help out on the phones and answer a few more phone calls in addition to the normal customer support calls. Not a big deal, but enough of a deal to make it 'not worth my sanity' to start another project, or try and move any of my current ideas and projects ( Read more... ) -
Guilty Pleasures
Sinfest. I love the cat and the dog. I find the God character entertaining--I don't agree with the author's worldview, but I find it amazingly funny. I like different opinions and viewpoints expressed through humor. It makes me laugh at myself.

Part of me has been putting it off, afterall no one really wants to hear how your body is aging and showing signs of it. I've also been wearing the same set of glasses for all that time. The lens are all scratched up, the finish has been worn off, and the frames are a little bent. So much for 'memory' metal.

I was riding the bus in to work this morning and it dawned on me that I haven't needed a nap for three or four days and I'm not tired throughout the day. In fact, I'm very pleased with this experiment and unless things go crazy over the next two weeks this will become a lifelong habit.

Life is starting to take an upswing. I still yawn throughout the day. I still get a little sleepy after lunch, but that tended to happen before this experiment anyway. Days 6 and 7
Evenings are difficult right now. I've started to wilt at 8:45 with super huge yawns. That's actually annoying when I'm trying to listen to people ramble talk.
Okay, people were actually saying really good things but my mind was starting to wander vicariously into dream-state--the jaw cracking yawns would wake me out of it.
