Depending on lotting rules and priorites that are set up, and the number of members that want each piece, it's going to be "interesting" to see how fast anyone can get the three drops necessary to get one piece and then find the 12 external crafting materials, to finish it off.
Yea, I agree. I'm interested to see if the crafting materials are flagged as rare/ex. If so, it'll really suck because people wont want to waste 2k assault points to do runs if they can't get more items.
I think it's going to be really hard to regulate this in any way if a ls wants to do official runs... 2k makes this very very costly time and effort wise... and the actual salvage runs aren't exactly a walk in the park.
Outside of inter-LS Salvages, I don't see it working any other way.
Beacuse they aren't exactly a walk in the park, pickup Salvages are going to be really rough - job availablity, priorities, lotting wars, skill levels, bitching and moaning and what not, will probably sour peoples opinions of them quickly.
LS-only runs, can be a bit more controled. Jobs can be defined and lotting priorities can be set and you all are probably friends and people you trust and know you can count on their abilities.
But to be affective, it's gonna need rules. Good rules.
Looking at it from a samurai standpoint, the only piece I'd want is the feet unless the set enhancement of haste boosting is -really- good, and any previous set bonus (see the assault sets) are garbage. If the full set bonus is good, it has enough Store TP to keep a six-hit setup, and if the haste bonus overwrites the 6% you lose from not using turban/haidate/sune-ate, then I'd use the full set
( ... )
didnt really look at synth materials but i think i saw somewhere that the warrior/dark knight/dragoon set used like 10 Orichalcum ingots for the helmet? I hope that this is way wrong cause this set is suppost to replace sky items yea? When Kirin and Suz are the two promanant sources of orichalcum ><; and all the KS30 bcs. SE is trying which is cool but if those are the kind of items you need to make this stuff then SE fails pretty hard =(
You didn't read wrong. The crafting requirements are stupid intense. It's 12 orichalcum ingots, actually. For all the headpieces. The body pieces require 12 Imperial Wootz Ingots. Etc.

Body/Legs > Feet > Hands > Head(which is only last because its the most expensive, money wise)

Also considering my next job to 75 (thats if I dont start caring about my 73 blu lol) will probably be MNK, there's no way I can pass up this set.
