Well, we agree on Adam Lambert. But I think Normand Gentle is the BOMB!! So far, this competition is turning into a major yawnfest. I hope America starts putting forward some people who have talent AND are interesting. I do think Adam Lambert has both a great voice AND is entertaining and interesting. He's by far my favorite to this point.
And I was really disappointed by Jasmine. I thought she was going to blow everyone away. Instead she was blah and didn't sing that well. What happened to her?
Prior to the actual performances, I was all set for Jasmine to be in the top girl spot. We was great through Hollywood but I think she made a bad song choice and maybe nerves got to her or something. She definitely didn't so as well as she has in the past. Because of that, she got totally outshined by Allison.
Norman/Nick is A bomb, but that's about as far as I'll go. He's a rotten singer. He may be entertaining, but first and foremost, it is a singing competition. If he has a good voice, he doesn't use it and lets it get hidden in goofiness and bad theatrics. I would have loved to actually see him sing a song this time but obviously he's just there for a few laughs and I hope this will be the end of him. Most of the guys deserve to be in the Top 12 more than him. I think the producers has him pushed this far for entertainment value on the show (much like the Paula vs Simon or Ryan vs Simon bits) but not any actual skill or promise.
