My favourite songs are not so easy to pick, and it's difficult to remember what I really truly love when I'm in the process of going through lots of phases. Some that might be in there are:
Billy Bragg - The Home Front Sepultura - Refuse/Resist Bjõrk - Yoga (string and vocal mix) Pachebel - Cannon in D Eminem and Royce Da 5' 9" - Renegades Counting Crows - Anna Begins Portishead - Roads
Well, that's seven, but this is the internet, and I can do what I like ;)
Refuse/Resist is great and another one I would love to play live. Come the revolution that will be our anthem. I had to stop myself singing during all the G8 stuff here. I don't think the thousands of police would have taken kindly to it.
Mine change a lot. In fact off the top of my head I cant remember.
Not sure if they are without a doubt my top ten but they are pretty far up there
Dark star - Radiohead, there is just something about this song, some of the lyrics make my hair stand on end and I am not even sure why.
Sonic Youth - Diamond sea
tool - sober
Presidents of the USA - back porch ....Just a fun fun song
Massive attack - teardrop, the first massive attack song I ever heard, made my spine melt
Portishead - roads I love everything these guys have ever done but this really stands out, the chorus "How can this be so wrong" the way is sung is enchanting. " I got nobody on my side and surly that aint right " Pretty sure everyone has felt like that at some point
just realised that is only 5. I would have hoped that after finishing a masters degree in physics, basic counting skils wuld no longer be a problem. Turns out I was wrong...
So, I'll add Mah Geetah by My Morning Jacket, because I'm listening to it now, and I'd forgotten how good it is.
I haven't heard most of those songs James, I assume they're all quiet Coldplay-esque numbers ;-)
At the moment my top 6 are Belle & Sebastian - Is it Wicked no to to Care Ballboy - There Are Only Inches Between Us But There Might As Well Be Mountains And Trees Teenage Fanclub - Aint that Enough Elliot Smith - Say Yes Hotrod Cadets - Glory Beach Boys - Good Vibrations

REM - sweetness follows , I find a lot of REM songs really hopeful and uplifting that a lot of people find depressing. This one especially.
Vex Red - cant smile, Have no idea about anything of this band. my brother gave me there album on mp3 and this song stuck out.
Deus - Serpentine Was inrtoduced to this band recently and have fallen in love with them
Pink floyd - Learning to fly.
