Well, not much has happened recently, got a new jacket though, which was good. It's an old bike one which feels really small compared to my last one, better than nothing though and not bad for £40.

Was a bit bored today, so I setup an icecast server on my computer, which was pretty easy really. Technically this means that I could run my own little

Hmmm, a problem with rights.

As in copyright? I could broadcast only open stuff, but I don't have much. Realistically I could only broadcast to a handful of 64k streams, which is highly unlikely to be worthy of attention from the RIAA or BPI (who seem more lenient anyway), also it is most likely to be only people I know who would listen. Chances are that I would have to pay for a lot more bandwidth before I had to think about broadcast rights. That's if I even did anything, an hour or two a week might be interesting though, especially if I can find obscure stuff to play.

Cool, don't know what I would play, I'll give it a think. Anything you would particularly like to hear? What kind of time would be good for you?

I'll probably just do an hour or two to start off with, might do some test runs as well; Nick had some trouble streaming from me, but I should have had the bandwidth and he does seem to have connection problems at times, I'd like to test it on other people's computers too.

It's a lot easier to just do music, but I'd have to see what I felt like, maybe I could do something very Smashy and Nicey, "And now pop-pickers we've got a great new band from Brazil, give it up for the folk stylings of Sepultura...". Nice.
