This is a list of all the bosses characters may encounter in Silent Hill. Bosses from other series may be added accordingly in the future.



Anti-Sora

Location: Anywhere (only during Nightmare Silent Hill)

Attacks: Hunts for hearts (attacking humans and monsters alike), thus all attacks will be focused on a target's chest area, and will leave once it has eaten the target's heart. Attacks consist mostly of swipes or stabs with his clawed fingers, then ripping the heart out of the chest cavity.

Movement: Walks on feet and hands like an animal, runs with both feet and one hand, and keeps low to the ground. Hangs from objects/ledges by his foot. Movement becomes twitchy/spastic the more Sora fights against this Anti Form.

Special Qualities: Aggravated by light, but can still see without it. His skin is ice cold to the touch, as is the black liquid that drips off him. His black blood is cold enough to burn. Eating hearts creates a regenerative effect.

Hints/Strategies: Still harbors Sora's fear of strangulation (and other variants). It is possible to distract Anti-Sora by leading him to another monster to have him eat its heart. A blue Halo of the Sun will protect against him.



Hanger

Location: Brookhaven Hospital

Attacks: Kicks targets when they are out of range, or grabs them with its deformed legs and lifts it off the ground when close enough. Once caught, will either strangle the target or swing them around.

Movement: Moves and hangs from the ceiling via a rectangular, metal lattice.

Special Qualities: Two or three of them will appear at once.

Hints/Strategies: Keep at a distance. Ranged weapons are good.



Missionary

Location: (PENDING)

Attacks: Various attacks with its dual blades or the handles on its arms - swings, stabs, and counterattacks as it gets up from the ground if knocked over.

Movement: Fast; likes to run around a lot, and can attack while moving.

Special Qualities: Controlled by Claudia Wolf.

Hints/Strategies: Blocks bullets and shotgun shrapnel with its blades if attacked from the front. Can also deflect melee attacks.



Pyramid Head (Great Knife)

Location: Almost anywhere indoors, rarely in Paleville

Attacks: Swings at or stabs targets with its Great Knife. Its slow vertical swing can easily cleave a target in two. Also grabs targets in a choke hold to strangle them or throw them around. Can rip a target's skin clean off (rare). Chance of rape, depending on who the target is.

Movement: Slow due to the Great Knife it drags around, walks but never runs.

Special Qualities: Has a long black tongue with a needle-sharp stinger on the end, hidden in the helmet. The helmet he wears is impervious to all melee attacks and bullets.

Hints/Strategies: Run.



Pyramid Head (Spear) (PENDING)

Location: Almost anywhere indoors, rarely in Paleville

Attacks: Swings at or stabs targets with its spear, aiming to impale them on it. Also grabs targets in a choke hold to strangle them or throw them around. Can rip a target's skin clean off (rare). Chance of rape, depending on who the target is.

Movement: Faster than the Great Knife Pyramid Head, as its weapon is lighter, but walks rather than runs.

Special Qualities: Has a long black tongue with a needle-sharp stinger on the end, hidden in the helmet. The helmet he wears is impervious to all melee attacks and bullets.

Hints/Strategies: Run.



Split Worm

Location: Sinkhole and Center Square Mall

Attacks: Charges out of tunnels to slam or bite targets with its great maw, then eats them.

Movement: Burrows in the larger tunnels of the Sinkhole (or the tunnels at the bottom of Center Square Mall), and is unable to enter the smaller ones.

Special Qualities: Aggravated by loud noises.

Hints/Strategies: A rumbling sound can be heard (and felt in the ground) as it emerges from a tunnel.



Tri-Edge (Azure Flame Kite) (PENDING)

Location: Anywhere indoors (only during Nightmare Silent Hill)

Attacks: Various swipes or stabs with his dual three-bladed swords. Aims to cut off a target’s limbs. Only attacks people that played The World or get in his way.

Movement: Slow, broken movement like a zombie, usually walks. Short-burst runs (rare). Will sometimes just watch his target, not taking any action.

Special Qualities: Burns with a black/blue fire. Stalks people that played The World. Can block melee attacks and bullets with his dual swords.

Hints/Strategies: Run.



Valtiel

Location: Alchemilla Hospital, Balkan Church, and Brookhaven Hospital (only during Nightmare Silent Hill)

Attacks: Passive; does not attack anyone.

Movement: Crawls slowly on the ceiling, in tight spaces, or up walls. Can also stand on walls/ceilings.

Special Qualities: God’s attendant. Can often be seen turning pipe valves, symbolic of its control over the gate to hell and the otherworld.

Hints/Strategies: Do not provoke.



Victims 7 & 8 (Billy & Miriam Locane)

Location: Wish House and surrounding area

Attacks: Running body slam and hand slap.

Movement: Stays completely still until target is close enough, then runs towards it on its large hands.

Special Qualities: Sometimes squeals like a crying baby when charging or being attacked.

Hints/Strategies: Avoid the monster when you see it from a distance, or knock it to the ground.



Victim 16 (Cynthia Velasquez)

Location: Kings' Subway Station

Attacks: Strangles or stabs targets with her long hair. Can use her hands for scratching, choking or stabbing (rare).

Movement: Crawls on the ground quickly, pulling herself forward with just her arms. Floats in the air most of the time, hunched over with her hair covering her face.

Special Qualities: Can pass through thin objects (e.g. doors or turnstiles).

Hints/Strategies: A Saint Medallion or Holy Candle can protect you for a period of time. A Sword of Obedience can stop her.



Victim 17 (Jasper Gein)

Location: Wish House and surrounding area

Attacks: Grabs targets and burns them.

Movement: Floats in the air.

Special Qualities: Always on fire.

Hints/Strategies: A Saint Medallion or Holy Candle can protect you for a period of time. A Sword of Obedience can stop him.



Victim 18 (Andrew DeSalvo)

Location: Water Prison

Attacks: Body slams or choking.

Movement: Floats in the air.

Special Qualities: Sings indistinct songs as he floats around.

Hints/Strategies: A Saint Medallion or Holy Candle can protect you for a period of time. A Sword of Obedience can stop him.



Victim 19 (Richard Braintree)

Location: South Ashfield Heights and surrounding buildings

Attacks: Crowbar swings.

Movement: The only Victim that can walk. Can also teleport to confuse his target.

Hints/Strategies: A Saint Medallion or Holy Candle can protect you for a period of time. A Sword of Obedience can stop him.
