In his mind he sees Sam in the rear view mirror wanting him to stop, to turn back, to ‘move on’ with his life, he looks over and sees Jo in the passenger seat, she doesn’t want anything from him, he has nothing to give her, it doesn’t matter.
Dean keeps driving.
That last part was just PERFECT! Absolutely brilliant and so heartbreaking. Great final piece :D
