1 - Strangely enough, or perhaps not really - but it does sound a bit cliche when I think about it, but it really is true : All the skill, concentration, talent, and focus you may have means absolutely nothing if you don't Feel it. With your heart, or your soul, or just a gut feeling. That desire to win, to do your best, to let every short or every note spawn from that feeling. If you don't have that to guide you, there's no way you can be at your best.

Did that make sense?

2 - Talent? *laughs* I wish I could cook. I've tried only twice, and both times...Disastrous. I'm lucky I didn't start something on fire.

3 - Kawamura-san from Seigaku. Most definitely. I count myself lucky that I came out of that match uninjured. He really is a remarkable (if not a bit intimidating?) player.

I've heard about your match against Kawamura. I'm sure it was an exciting match for you to play. It must have been a great experience to play against someone who had the power to return your Scud serve. I'm sure you've worked a lot since then to be able to make it even faster.

May I ask what player you haven't played yet that you'd like to face off against? And who on Hyotei, other than your doubles partner, do you like playing against most?

Btw, my previous reply has an icon that says "Toying with Your Mind". I'm not really doing that. I just changed icons, and that's my new default. I don't know if you read manga. It's from Death Note. ^____^

Whew. That's good. Kantoku is usually very direct when it comes to teaching, but instruction or inspiration are different matters. He's not always strictly by the book in those cases.

It's a little hard to believe or describe coming from such a stern looking man, but at least that's what I've learned from him. :)

And yes, I've increased my strength training a notch or two since then. ^.~ I'd really like to face him again - either in an official game or even a casual one.

Hmm...I'd have to say either Fuji-san from Seigaku, or Sanada-san from Rikkai dai from the other clubs. As for here? It's a toss up between Atobe and Oshitari senpai. I always learn something new from Atobe, and Oshitari senpai's just fun to play. He always keeps me on my toes.
