Prompted by sierra_le_oli and other recent comments I checked my page and noticed that with remarkable skill I had forgotten to re enable it after the last frenzy of cue catting (sp?) aided and abetted by the offspring. Its now back to normal, curious to see where I'm overlapping ( Read more... )

I was on the LibraryThing front page yesterday evening and imagine my surprise when I saw the name ppint roll past in the "happening right now" section. :-)

hmm? well, the verb's accurate enough, as a comment upon yr hmbl srppnt - but the gerundive phrase seems most unlikely - it being over a quarter of a century, since aught i did could be described as so positive as "happening"...

A few years ago I designed a library shed, with book cases on rollers so you'd only have space to go between two at any given time, enabling you to pack them more densely. I still have the plans, parts lists and instructions somewhere, in case they'd come in handy one day (the woman I made them for got vetoed by her husband).

Would your two useless young layabouts be carpentrically inclined? I reckon it'd be three days work, more or less.

I see Sayers accounts for a few as well, but of course not as many as Pratchett. :-)

I'm not at all clear on the differences between "interesting libraries", "friend" and "private watchlist", so I'm sticking to the first for now (and I don't want to unnecessarily pester people with requests).
