Home again, for a while at least after a few weeks of wandering both for work and non work. A belated "thank you" for all the birthday wishes, happy birthday to those of you who were also August born and to whom I couldn't send more timely greetings ( Read more... )

Our journey home today was actually easier than the journey up on Friday.
No ridiculous amounts of traffic in sight, and we heard about the car fire on the A417 in time to find a detour.

But then again, we weren't travelling back to London.

Speaking of jams, I've just come back from Sweden and brought with me a (shop-bought, alas) jar of cloudberry jam as a belated birthday present for you. Are you going to the Green Man/Arwen meet the 8th? Or can you prop #2 on a train here for a sleep-over or something?

Green Man/Arwen on 8th September? I've completely missed that although that weekend does ring a bell so maybe someone mentioned something but any announces have passed me by. I may have parental obligations that weekend but not sure as yet - should know soon.

Come to think of it, I haven't seen an announce either...

Actually the traffic didn't seem too bad on Monday afternoon. Still, even if it was a relatively brief sojourn, it was good to have you and the tribe around over most of the weekend. To be honest it was a pretty damn fine set of people all round. Not that there aren't plenty of other people who would also have been positive additions to the throng, of course.
