i guess because i've been at wsu for so long i thought it would be nice to have a change of scenery. it is a hell of a commute, but a very good friend of mine might be doing the program as well and needless to say we could car pool. so it wouldn't be so bad.
live in ann arbor. although, there is 1 opening at wsu's library -- my old position and a coworker's should be posted in a couple weeks. the pay is lame, but you get free school, and really don't do that much. http://jobs.wayne.edu that way you can work fulltime get benefits AND free school. the lis program at wayne is pretty easy and offers a lot of online classes. granted, u of m's is a lot better, but with waynes you save money by not only not having to take the gre, but possibly getting free tuition if you get hired for a wsu position. i say just for the hell of it apply to my old position and think about it when you get an offer. i think there is only a few more days to apply... the title is "library clerk senior" and you can find it under clerical/technical postions.
