Dilemma

Ok, I'm not sure where I'm going with this. Today was the first day of I-Con, and I ran into an old friend who graduated last semester. I just learnt he broke up with his girlfriend last month. And we kind of went to all these panel discussions together. We also also went to the Rocky Horror Show together, and he went up on stage when the called ( Read more... )

well, hopefully he won't do what i did . . . blab about an ex, then after leaving suddenly realize that there was a great women he was just talking to . . . and instead of making a move, just talked about an ex and kicked onself in the ass afterwards for realizing feelings too late to have not done too much wrong . . .

Well, he's still blabbing about his ex. And how she had some many issues with her sexuality. Apparantly she could decide whether she was gay or not. And was angry with him because he couldn't provide her the answer. And it seems she's now dating another guy who's exactly like him. I don't know... he seems pretty messed up at the moment. Even if I weren't feeling so confused, I wouldn't know what to do.

Sadly the guy might be too damaged right now for dating fun stuffs. In retrospect I know that back when I did that sort of thing, I was still very hurt and had I goten into a relationship then it would have started off on a bad setting. As for being confused . . . you just need to not have fear (I wrote a paper on fear and my interactions with one lady friend, a good read if you want to read a different perspective on love and fear) and just walk up to him and be asertive. Now walkign up to him and going "Are you interested in me?" Would probably confuse the heck out of him, or break him into being your lap puppy which is also bad. But yeah, given that you are not sure what to do, if you aren't feelign the right set of things, its best to wait for him to heal or for someone else who's not damaged to come along. I learned that the hard way.

Wait until the ex thing blows over, then see where it goes.
