I saw the move Julie & Julia at the Mayfair when I was home a while ago and was charmed enough to pick up the book at the library.* Which is also charming, but with more profanity. (Which is cool. It cuts the charm a bit, like a bit of rum keeps Coke from being too syrupy sweet ( Read more... )

you should make some marshmallow. It's fun and it tastes great! not all chemically like the bought stuff.

Hmmmm....I've never made marshmallow. I don't really like bought marshmallow but maybe I could do better.

i never considered that that is also why i thought that waterworld was pretty good.
Also good movies, perhaps because they were watched at the Mayfair were:
Joe and the Volcano
Miss Congeniality 2
Armageddon

Next time I am in ottawa, will definitely make a point of going again.

Joe and the Volcano was the first live action movie I ever saw (in theatre), and wouldn't cha know it, I saw it at the Mayfair. I tell ya, the majesty of the experience ruined me for life. Even Imax 3D can't compare! I've been trying to recapture that first high ever since ~ sigh ; )
