That makes perfect sense.

You don't have much in common (anymore?). This was/is part of the reason I don't talk to many people. I just don't have anything good to discuss with them. Yes, we may both live in the same area, attend the same school, and even be the same gender, but that doesn't mean I have much to say. This is to explain and partially apologize for not hanging out with you more. I know I'm not one of the people who you were addressing, but I want you to know that I agree with and support your decision.
