I'm thinking about moving away somewhere. Not right now, I'm not going to abandon Max in Santa Rosa, forcing him to pay the full rent until he moves out, but possibly either at the beginning or the end of summer. I don't know if you've thought of this, but there are many more things you have to take into consideration, living wise. I'm sure you already knew most places require you to make triple the rent each month, and do your estimates include utilities, taxes and many other living expenses? There's a reason why America is a nation of "working poor" and a minimum wage job no matter where you go, will probably not allow you to maintain the lifestyle you've become accostumed too. In my opinion, you try to get a job through temping. Yeah, its probably soul-sucking, but it pays (relatively) well.

I did not account in my estimates for things that will be roughly equivalent wherever I am... I figure I'll spend the same amount on food each month whether I'm here or somewhere else, taxes will gouge me mostly the same wherever I am, utilities aren't going to be considerably more in one place than another, etc.. All those things add on top of the cost of rent equally regardless of location, so when all costs are subtracted from my income, the place with the higher rent will still be equally more expensive than if they hadn't been taken into account ( ... )
