[At first, the transmission is completely silent. Aside from a the occasional fizzle and whatnot, it doesn't sound as if there is anybody there. However, a few moments later, Rei begins to talk, sounding slightly hesitant and afraid as she does.]

I... I-I have a question...

[She pauses, as if she were trying to figure out the right way to go on

[There's a snort and a faint chuckle, before the reply came in a confident tone.]

Oh? And why would a child such as yourself wish to know?

[Too bad she has to continue being a moeblob, otherwise she wouldn't have brushed it off that easily.]

S-Sorry, it's just... It's something I've been t-thinking about lately.

"Curiosity killed the cat" - or so the modern saying goes, I believe.

[A short pause.]

Though I suppose that a kitten may be entitled to that much. So do you fear for your life, or do you contemplate on taking another's?

N-No... I would never do s-something like that to anybody, a-and...

[She trails off, pausing for a moment, before speaking up again.]

I-It's been bothering me, n-not knowing this.

There are many things tha would occur. What in particular are you interested in?

If the person would eventually return?

Ah, y-yes. I was w-wondering if death was permanent here, b-but...

What do you m-mean, by "many things"...?

Well, I only mean death in the scientific sense. What happens when a person dies, how the brain reacts, how the body decomposes... that sort of thing.

But as far as if death is permanent or not here in Somarium, I can't give you a complete answer. Some people return, others don't. I've seen it happen both ways.

[hypnoun]

O-Oh, I see.

Those who c-come back... Would anything happen t-to them when they do?

I-It's... It's something that has been b-bothering me for a while.

[blacknredrabbit]

Did you kill someone?

[hypnoun]

Ah, n-no! That's t-terrible, I would never k-kill anyone...

[chainsawofdeath]

[Laughs a little bit. This is right up his alley~]

Oh, Honey, it's beautiful!!! They can die a tragic, blood-soaked death just like anybody else can! [Pauses briefly] Except they return to Somarium about a week later. It's unfortunate, really.

[hypnoun]

I-I see...? So they d-do come back, after all.

[She sounds relieved, but, well. That's certainly going to put a dent in her plans if she ever decides to try something.]

W-Would they come back as they were b-before they died, or...?

[chainsawofdeath]

Well, I recall there being a time or two that somebody didn't come back after being killed... Unfortunately, they do come back as they were.

[Dramatic]

It's positively tragic, isn't it!!? You can only savor their death for a short time before they return!!!

[hypnoun]

P-Permanent death is rare but possible, then...

I suppose... It must be t-terrible if someone were murdered, to come back and see the person who k-killed them. And if they wanted revenge, t-then...

[She trails off, as if terrified of the idea.]

They come back after a week! At least, I did.

A-Ah, so you've died before? I'm s-sorry, that must have b-been terrible...

Not really! I had a lot of fun, so it pretty much balances out the whole handicap thing afterwards.
