ok i'm going to f'ing lose it, or go into labor. Landen refuses to go to bed. It's freaking 11pm, Tommy is working late, and I'm having shooting pains running down my back into my legs. I know this is the terrible twos, but my god, I thought after a supposed week of him refusing to sleep in his own bed, he'd get over it, at least that's what ( Read more... )

Kids are amazing at picking up our moods and magnifying them in themselves - so if you're agitated he can sure feel it and project it. For now if Tommy isn't home let him make noise etc in his room and he will eventually figure it out that he needs to either learn to quieten himself down cos Mommy isn't going to engage or he will tire himself out. That way you don't overly stress.

Good luck with it. It's hard when one's not pregnant let alone when one is. I don't think Landen is angry with you. I just think he is beginning to see that Mommy isn't all his anymore and that is an ok thing because you need him to separate from you a little and be independent especially with another one on the way. :) And also from two little boys tend to like to gravitate toward their daddys. It's when the boy/male bonding starts to really kick in.

I try to do exactly that, and not make a big deal out of it, but he will come out of his room and into the livingroom, or my room over and over and over. It doesn't matter to method I use to put him back in his room, he will always come right back out 10-15-20 times or more.

I love that he's close to his daddy, and it doesn't bother me one bit, but he can be outright hateful and mean to me, refusing to get in the car for me, refusing to sit down in the cart at the store...etc. He knows that it hurts me to have to wrestle to get him in it, out of it, b/c I've told him, but it's like talking to a wall........or a two-y/o...haha.

Thanks Suzy!

Just remember that Landen is in the terrible twos. He was probably just tired from all his playing when Thomas got home, and decided to go to bed. Don't worry. He still loves you!
I had fun hanging out with you guys. I don't have all that many female friends, especially friends with children, so it was nice to have made a new one. I hope things work out with me and your hubby's friend, too ;) See ya!
