Expecto Mucosum!

Today we head up to Santa Barbara. I think I've packed all the things I need... I hope I haven't forgotten anything. I want to make sure I've got enough books and movies to entertain myself. I'm not sure how I'm going to be by tomorrow, let alone Wednesday in terms of my cold. Last night I went out to Marie Callendar's with Mom, Dad, and Mark ( Read more... )

All you need is comfort movie or TV. Things you've seen before so you'll follow the plot. I rented a movie after one of my surgeries and had to watch it 3 times to get the plot. It was that Meg Ryan time travel love story movie. Not complex. But I couldn't follow it. You're best off with things you know and aren't too visually stimulating if you're going to be on Demerol or the like.

Good luck with the reading idea. I couldn't do it.

Excellent! I brought all 6 Harry Potter DVDs, as well as Firefly, some Doctor Who, Torchwood, and a couple other things.

Good luck with your procedure! I hope there are no delays, but do that's right for your body--you need all the energy you can muster to recover and heal efficiently.

Honestly, when I had my surgery, I couldn't even focus on anything except for the tv from time to time (I had to take vicodin after my knee surgery). Not sure the reading thing will happen, so I agree with flouritephoenix about getting movies/television you know. I ended up watching NHL playoffs and it was already hard keeping track of what was going on.

Yep, brought some good stuff to watch. And hopefully this internet connection will be good for Netflix too.

Good luck! Hope you feel better soon! Read about the delay on Twitter/FB...I think it will be better that you wait--also it will make your recovery easier!

Praying for you!
