[Walking by, Rudolf notices a girl by the school, and while there's nothing strange about that, it's easy enough to see she's a little down, if nothing else. And as a father missing his young daughter right about now, it's hard to just walk on by and not try to cheer her up a little.]

...Hey, kid, something wrong?

Ah. [she'll utter as she looks up at Rudolf, a little surprised to have someone actually approach her, asking if something was wrong. And in such a fashion.]

[And, "kid"?... Hmm. Well. She does look in her twenties, and the man does look to be his early forties, so she supposes that way of addressing can be expected. She'll rearrange her expression a little, so that it shows a tiny smile.] Oh, it's nothing to worry about.

[She'll set down her lunch, get up from the bench, so as to give him a bit of a curtsey in greeting] And a good afternoon to you, sir.

[Oh...well now this is awkward, he assumed she was a teenager at best, but getting closer, this girl certainly looks - and acts - more mature than that. Whatever, he's old and can call anyone whatever he wants, right? Right. Never admit to being wrong.]

Heh, you sure have good manners, you don't see that much these days.

[Then again, she has that 'shrine maiden air' about her...weird.]

[She really is a well brought up, well-mannered young lady... As young as being more than a hundred years old can be, anyway.

Then again she could always be like Mokou, who has grown much older, but definitely hasn't grown up at all.

[He raises an eyebrow at that - 'young'? Well, he's not that old, but smoking for 20+ years does a number on you, at least.]

[Still, she's polite and all, nothing wrong with that. So he just shrugs and goes back to smiling.]

Are you a teacher here or something?

That's right. I'm a history teacher for the children here.

More of a spiritual creature of sorts, but in any case, longevity aside, I'm largely no different from a normal human being, most of the time.

Huh, well that's something. Do they usually let you go around telling people? Seems to me like that's the sort of thing they'd want you to keep your mouth shut about.
