Just remembered these suckers they used to sell which were a giant jawbreaker with lots of different coloured layers, and a gumball in the middle, and you'd have to lick it for days to get to the center. And it'd build up a chalky white film on the outside if you left it alone for awhile. And you'd lick your tongue raw trying to make it through

Those giant jawbreakers sound vaguely familiar...

I remember Garbage Can-dy, Bonkers, Bubble Yum, Bubblicious, PBMax, and BarNone from that list. :)
